Kevin & David’s Musical Theatre Themed Wedding Invitations and Stationery

Kevin & David who are both musical theatre fan’s got in touch with us last year after seeing some other music and theatre style wedding stationery we had created. They wanted to bring their love of musical theatre into their wedding through their wedding stationery and as always they came to the right place 🙂

For their wedding they wanted us to create a full suite of wedding stationery from the wedding invitations right through to the thank you cards. So let’s take a look at what we did for them…

Musical Theatre Tickets Wedding Invitations

The first thing we worked on was the wedding invites. Kevin & David wanted musical theatre ticket wedding invitations. Of course this was no issue as here at Wedfest we are experts in creating ticket themed wedding invitations.

The colour scheme for the wedding stationery was a mix of aubergine, purples and cream. The wedding invitation tickets featured nods to musical theatre such as the stage curtains, musical notes, stars and the comedy masks associated with theatre.

They titled the wedding The Greatest Show and this appeared as the main text on the wedding invitations. As we made both day and evening invitations for the couple the text changed accordingly from our wedding to our wedding after party on the evening only invitations.

The theatre theme continued on the RSVP card stubs which doubled as Admission ticket stubs. On the wedding invitations they ready Matinee and Evening Performance, and on the evening only tickets they read Evening Performance only.

The reverse side of the Admission RSVP stubs again had theatre references such as Seats in the Stalls and Show Cancelled for the wedding guests to let they couple know whether they could attend the wedding or not.

The Admission stubs were of course perforated just like real tickets so that could be easily detached and sent back to the couple when RSVP-ing to the wedding invitation.

Musical Theatre Wedding Information Program

Accompanying the wedding invitations was a full musical theatre style wedding information programme which would give the guests all the information they needed about the wedding, from accommodation options, directions, taxi numbers and much more.

We made these in the style of theatre programmes that would receive or buy when you go to a live show and they looks fabulous.

Musical Theatre Wedding Order of Service Programme

Not one but two beautiful program’s we created for this wedding. On arrival at the wedding the guests were handed another musical theatre style program but this time in the form of the wedding order of service booklet.

The order of service contained the running order of the day and some background information on the couple and their life journey together.

Musical Theatre Wedding Table Seating Plan

Once all the official part’s of the wedding were done it was time for the wedding reception and after party. Of course the theme was kept running and here we got to create this stunningly beautiful musical theatre wedding table plan for the couple.

The table planner was made out naming the wedding tables after the couples favourite musical theatre shows, such as Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, Les Miserables, Avenue Q etc.

The table plan is amazing to look at and easily one of our favourite designs from the past few years.

Musical Theatre Wedding Thank You Cards

For the Final Act 🙂 The last thing we made the couple was wedding thank you cards to send out to all of their wedding guests. Of course they wanted to keep the theme of all the wedding stationery running through and the thank you cards turned out beautiful featuring a fantastic photo of Kevin & David in their wedding suits.
