80s Movies Retro Wedding Table Plan
Yes, 80s Movies Synthwave Neon Retro Wedding Table Plan is quite the mouthful title we know but its the only way we could describe this amazingly cool 80s Movies Wedding Seating Plan that we made for Fiona and Colin’s wedding in Palmerstown House Estate, Co. Kildare, Ireland earlier this month.
For this couples Wedding Table Plan they wanted it to have an ultimate 80s theme about it. They were going to name all their wedding tables after 80s movies such as The Goonies, Labyrinth, Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, The Gremlins and more… We worked on a few ideas but they were just not 80s enough so we had to right back to the 80s and rethink everything and we were glad we did. We looked at movie posters, and fonts and what was popular at the time and decided we need to design a total 80s poster drawing inspiration from the likes of Miami Vice, Tron, Blade Runner, Transformers and loads of other great 80s movies and 80s television programs and mix in some neon and synth wave vibes and we should get our desired result, and we were very happy with the result!! 🙂

For the couples names we wanted to have a contrast in the two names so for Fiona’s name we used a Miami Vice / Dirty Dancing style font and for Colin’s name we used a much bolder font which is more of a homage to Transformers. Each of the wedding tables as we said the couple named after 80s movies and for each of these movies we used the movie logo for each one.

Again for the bottom are of the table plan we used the same style of type faces as we did for the couples names at the top.
